AccomodationThe Farm

Pontenoyu is located on the ridge of the Poggio alla Guardia, the Watch Hill, in front of the stronghold of Serravalle Pistoiese. It was from this place that were observed in the middle ages the troop movements between Florence and Lucca.
Exposed to the winds of the Apennine mountains at North, to the winds from the Valley of Ombrone Pistoiese at East and to the West winds from the Valdinievole, Pontenoyu remains always cool in summer and enjoys exceptional panoramic views.

AccomodationRotenburo

Rotemburo: between Tuscany and Japan

A traditional Japanese outdoor hot bath, called Rotemburo, gives you the opportunity to admire and enjoy the Tuscan landscape in the most relaxed way. Thanks to its dominant position you can enjoy the view of the woods, olive groves, vineyards and surrounding villages. To stay motionless in the steaming hot water after a long day of visits and walks is the nicest part of the Rotenburo experience. Some rules should be followed when taking a Japanese bath. They are usually explained at your arrival.

AccomodationCuisine

Italian menu: the taste and the pleasure of good food

In order to know, or better know, the traditional Tuscan cuisine, only fresh high quality products grown on our land or locally, including fruits and vegetables, extra-virgin olive oil and local "cinta senese" pork are offered daily for tasting to our guests.
Breakfast: Breakfast is served in the breakfast room or directly in your room. It includes homemade marmalade, toast, yoghurt, cereals and ham, along with Italian espressi and cappuccini. For families who wish to stay a week and be independent, a large, fully equipped kitchen as well as an outdoor wood-fired oven and barbecue should make their stay as comfortable as possible.
Dinner: Our guests who have chosen a "Ryokan" style stay enjoy a four course dinner prepared with seasonal products.

AccomodationBarbecue on the Terrace

On the panoramic terrace, from which you can see the medieval village of Montecatini Alto, classic Tuscan dishes such as grilled "bistecca alla fiorentina" or arista of "Cinta Senese" pork may be cooked on demand in the wood-fired oven and barbecue.

AccomodationCinta Senese: the two colors mantle

For twenty years we have bred a dozen of Cinta Senese pigs. Bred since the middle ages in Tuscany, this dark mantle breed is characterized by long white belt "surrounding" shoulders and front legs of the animal, giving it the name "cinta".
